Solemates
Working to complete a D&AD brief set by health advertising agency 21 Grams, my team curated ‘Solemates’. A campaign which raises awareness on melanoma within people of colour.
With the sole being the most common site for skin cancer to form within people of colour; myself and my peer designed a range of unisex flip-flops inspired by the microscopic cross section of thick skin found only on the soles.
The flip-flops themselves act as a vehicle for the campaign message: check on your sole to prevent melanoma. Printed on beaches across the world, targetting those exposed to harmful UV rays, Solemates would go viral on social media platforms. Acting as a hub for the campaign, the Solemates website includes a vast amount of helpful information.
